Living and Learning: Leadership and Civic Service

So what exactly is an Integrated Learning Community (ILC)?

And can you participate in one if you are part of FCRH? YES!!
West Wing ILC for Ignation Leadership and Civic Service is an integrated learning community for sophomores and juniors from both FCRH and CBA.

Many residents are majoring in Business, International Political Economy, Economics, etc. These students apply to students live in one wing of O’Hare Hall and participate in lectures, service projects, and various activities together. Since the West Wing is in its inaugural year, we are helping to form and decide what this ILC is going to be in future years.
The lecture series gives students a chance to listen to and ask questions of influential members of the Fordham community as well as individuals from all over New York City. For example, last month Monseigneur Quinn came to speak to us about finding our call to serve others and this month Dr. Combellik will speak to us about Free Trade. Following every two lectures, the community breaks off into smaller groups to do a service project in our New York community.
West Wing members are offered programs throughout the month put on by the Resident Assistant (RA), including Free NYC Fridays, watching episodes of The West Wing, Meet the Jesuits (we went on a hike last month with one of the Jesuits), resume and networking workshops, etc.

As you can see, the West Wing covers a wide variety of interesting, enticing topics.
